What happened during the Pro Bono Week 2019?07/11/2019

During Pro Bono Week more than 50 events related to pro bono took place all around the globe! We are very happy about this year Pro Bono Week impact, not only for the great participation of our members, but also because we have seen how corporates, nonprofits and public actors have joined efforts to raise awareness about pro bono.

During Pro Bono Week, partners around the world hosted a variety of events and activities, including pro bono projects, public recognition of pro bono consultants and nonprofit organizations that leverage pro bono services, social media campaigns, and crowdfunding to build the pro bono marketplace.

As you know, Pro Bono Week provides since 2013 an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the outstanding work of business professionals who volunteer their professional expertise throughout the year, and to inspire more local communities to provide valuable pro bono services to local organizations serving the public good.

Some participants -organisations that have created an event during the PBW19- considere that thanks to Pro Bono Week, they have had a larger impact in their communities than having it done on their own, in terms of press impact, stakeholders reach and the quality of collaborations and partnerships.

A big example of how the impact of Pro Bono Week is beyond the members of the Global Pro Bono Network is Salesforce, who created during the Pro Bono Week a large number of events in many countries where it is present. Also, during the 24th October, our members Pro Bono Lab, Passerelles et Compétences, Pyxera Global, Amaidi International, Taproot Foundation, Reach Volunteering and Work for Social participated in a webinar organized by Salesforce

Other events took place in France (Pro Bono Day, see picture above), Ukraine, India, Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, Spain, United States, Hungary, Germany, Romania, South Africa, United Kingdom, Singapore, Scotland, Georgia and Belgium.

Thank you very much for your efforts and looking forward to the next Pro Bono Week 2020!
