VSO starts a research partnership with LSE on corporate volunteering26/03/2020

Our members Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and the Department of Management at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) have created a research partnership to understand how corporate volunteers change their businesses after VSO placements.

Businesses and NGOs currently rely on anecdotal evidence for proof of how corporate volunteering changes staff behaviour and business practices. Now, leading organisational behaviour researchers will bring academic rigour to an area where organisations invest significantly.

Initially, the researchers will work with VSO’s partners Syngenta, Equal Experts and Randstad to build on VSO’s existing body of research (Valuing Volunteering, Lasting Impact Survey, Relational Volunteering Model).

The research outcomes will eventually allow VSO to provide further leadership in the corporate volunteering space and new insights for the whole sector to build on.

Congratulations to VSO and looking forward to seeing the results very soon!
